Save The Date: ICC Conference “Antitrust Enforcement Between Globalisation and Deglobalisation”

The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and its Japanese national committee (ICC Japan) will organise on 21 July 2023 in Tokyo a high-level international conference on “Antitrust enforcement between globalisation and deglobalisation”  with the support of the French Competition Authority (FCA), the Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC),  the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission (DG COMP).

The conference will convene high-level business executives from multinational companies and top-ranking antitrust agency officials from some of the key antitrust jurisdictions in the world to address current enforcement challenges and trends and spotlight a range of business initiatives in response to them.  These policy areas include antitrust enforcement in the digital sector, harmonisation of merger control regulations on a global basis, new EU regulation on foreign subsidies, the impact of sustainability on competition.  In addition, other topics where a comparative analysis of Japanese, French, and European antitrust enforcement policies could be worth an in-depth discussion are being considered.
